Borough of Island Heights Mayor Biggs has issued a Proclamation of Water Emergency. Outside water usage on alternate days allowing outside water usuage by persons or businesses having even house numbers on even days and those having odd house numbers on odd days with outside water usage being completely banned and prohibited on the thirty-first (31st) day of any month during the water emergency.
ESTIMATED TAX BILL DUE AUGUST 1, 2010: Please be advised that due to the delay in the State of New Jersey’s budget process, the Borough of Island Heights is issuing estimated tax bills for August 1, 2010. THIS IS JUST AN ESTIMATED BILL. Once all budgets are completed, the borough will be able to issue the final tax bill for 2010 and preliminary tax bill for 2011. Any adjustments to the 3rd quarter 2010 bill which is due August 1, 2010 will be made to the 4th quarter bill due November 1, 2010. Any questions please call the Island Heights Tax Office at (732) 270-6414 Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Monday evenings 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
PAYMENT IS DUE BY AUGUST 1, 2010 WITH A GRACE PERIOD THAT ENDS ON AUGUST 10, 2010. PAYMENTS RECEIVED ON AUGUST 11, 2010 WILL BE SUBJECT TO INTEREST.
The next regular council meeting shall be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 7:00 PM held at the borough hall.

Notice: Recreational Badges are available at a discount price at the boroough hall. 12 Years of Age and Older $15.00 Season, $5.00 Weekly and $3.00 Daily. Effective June 1st Badge fees will increase to 12 Years of Age and Older $25.00 Season, $15.00 Weekly and $5.00 Daily.
Boat Ramp Permit/Keys are available to Residents for $50.00 and the Boat Ramp Commerical Fee is $500.00.
Notice: Dog & Cat Licenses are to be renewed January 1 of each year. Proof of current
rabies required, and spaying/neutering certificate to obtain $3.00 discount. Fee is $10.00
or $7.00 with proof of spayed/neutered. In addition, a late fee of $5.00 will be imposed
February 1 and an additional $1.00 each month late thereafter.
